South Pacific (DVD) Rodgers& Hammerstein's classic musical about war, love, cook island south pacific and racial bigotry is adapted for television in ABC's entertaining version of SOUTH PACIFIC. Based on the novel TALES OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC by James A. Michener, the musical stars Glenn Close as the spunky Nellie Forbush, a World War II nurse stationed on a tropical island in the Pacific. Pearl of the South Pacific (DVD) Virginia Mayo stars as Rita Delaine in this melodrama set in the South Seas.
